Father Kills Eight Children in Shreveport Mass Shooting, Dies in Police Shootout
A horrific mass shooting occurred in Shreveport, Louisiana, where a father named Shamar Elkins killed eight children and the children were between the ages of 3 and 11.
A man killed eight children-seven of his own and one cousin in Shreveport, Louisiana. All the children were in the age of 3 to 11. The dispute started early Sunday morning. According to the authorities the man was upset because his wife wanted a divorce. After shooting the children and wounding his wife and another woman in a critical condition, he left the scene with his stolen car. Police chased him to a nearby area and killed him in a shootout.
This is the deadliest mass shooting in the U.S. since January 2024. Local officials and the community are in deep mourning over this "heartbreaking tragedy.
